Saturday Supplementary School

This project aims to educate children between the ages of 5 and 11 in numeracy and literacy learning through extra classes on Saturdays. This project was initially funded by Luton Borough Council through Supplementary School grants, also The Ernest Cook Trust donated towards this work.

The outcomes of this project: has increased educational standard amongst poorer children. The children were offered the chance to attend lessons on a Saturday to help catch up with their educational needs. This project has helped to close the achievement gap with richer children whose parents could afford home tutoring lessons.

Thank you to Luton Borough Council for their tremendous support and thanks and also to The Ernest Cook Trust for their contribution.

Saturday Supplementary School is still taking place on Saturday 10.00am –1.00pm (term time)
